The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) recently signed an important cooperation agreement with the Kiwanis Club of Panama District, with the aim of establishing a strategic alliance that will allow for the development of joint actions for the benefit of the community and the academic strengthening of both institutions.
The purpose of this agreement is to foster technical collaboration in diverse areas such as professional practice, social work, and the development of training and refresher training activities, among other topics of mutual interest.
During the formal ceremony, UMECIT was represented by Master Santiago Nieto, Vice-Rector for Institutional Projects, on behalf of the Rector, Dr. José Alberto Nieto Rojas. He was accompanied by Master Rosa Castañeda, Legal Advisor, and Master Andrea Pinzón, Coordinator of Agreements and Internationalization.
On behalf of the Kiwanis Club, Governor Alfredo Álvarez participated, along with distinguished members Dianeth Cupas and Cristian Castro, who reaffirmed the Club's commitment to developing social projects focused on Panamanian children and youth.
This agreement strengthens the ties between both entities, promoting comprehensive training, community service, and the development of meaningful experiences that positively impact Panamanian society.
