The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- has achieved important recognition by being selected as one of the five best successful experiences in the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in online education.

His innovative project, entitled “Practical Application of Forensic Planimetry with Simulations in UMECIT EON REALITY», presented by Master's professor Cynthia Linares, has been chosen to be presented at the III Ibero-American Seminar on the Quality of Online Education. This event, which will be held in Panama City on September 3 and 4, 2024, will offer a crucial space to share experiences and knowledge on the application of AI in the educational field.

The UMECIT project was selected from eighteen proposals submitted by higher education institutions from all over Latin America, as part of a call for proposals held between April and June of this year. The initiative to organize this seminar, under the motto “Boosting Excellence with Artificial Intelligence,” is led by the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), the Ibero-American Advisory Network for the Quality of Higher Education (RIACES) and the National Council for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Universities of Panama (CONEAUPA).

Innovation and excellence in online education
