UMECIT receives recognition at the 2024 Scientific Gala for outstanding research in Health Sciences

Within the framework of the 2024 Scientific Gala, held at the Technological University of Panama (UTP), the research talent of students from our University was recognized. UTP research authorities and Dr. Eduardo Ortega Barría, National Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation, presented the recognition for third place in the Health Sciences category of the Scientific Initiation Conference (JIC), 2024 edition.

The award was given to the students of General Psychology Fatima Marianne Guerra Rodríguez and Gabriel Antonio García Planes, next to the advisory teacher, Dr. Claudia Marcela Arana, for his project entitled:

“Evolution of neurodivergence in adults, protocols, and effective treatments: a systematic review study”.

This achievement reflects the quality of the scientific production generated from our Internal Student Research Days, and reaffirms our commitment to research as a fundamental pillar of academic training.
