Within the framework of the VIII Scientific Publications Showcase, organized by the University of Panama, the scientific journals of UMECIT received recognition once again for their sustainability in the indexers, highlighting the institutional work aimed at strengthening the editorial quality and visibility of the scientific production.
This academic event recognizes the editorial management work of scientific journals, as well as the commitment of institutions to open access policies and the democratization of knowledge, fundamental principles to ensure that science reaches society and contributes to academic and social development.
UMECIT's scientific journals, Dialogus, Oratores and Saluta, constitute academic spaces for the dissemination of knowledge that promote the publication of research of high scientific rigor, strengthening the visibility of academic production and contributing to open access to knowledge in different areas of knowledge.
The awards were received by Dr. José Alberto Nieto, Rector of UMECIT; Dr. Magdy De las Salas, editor of the journals Dialogus and Oratores; and Ms. Amelia Sarco, editor of the journal Saluta. Also present at the ceremony was the Academic Vice-Rector of UMECIT, Ms. Hermes Mauricio Sierra.
For UMECIT, this recognition represents an incentive to continue strengthening the quality of its scientific publications and consolidating spaces for dissemination that promote the production, circulation and open access to scientific knowledge.
