Umecit – University in Panama

UMECIT promotes prevention and awareness during Cancer Month

Within the framework of the Cancer Awareness Month, the UMECIT Faculty of Health, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health (MINSA) and with the support of the Department of University Welfare as an axis of health and well-being, will develop a series of academic conferences and awareness-raising activities open to the entire university community.

These initiatives are led by students of the Physiotherapy program, who, from their professional training, reaffirm their commitment to the prevention, early detection and health promotion in educational settings.

Through these spaces, UMECIT seeks to strengthen the institutional culture of well-being and encourage the active participation of students, faculty, and staff in the fight against cancer.
