As part of its commitment to educational quality and continuous improvement, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) formally submitted the results of the self-assessment process for the Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Forensic Sciences, within the area of Social Sciences, to the National Council for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Universities of Panama (CONEAUPA).
During the event, the UMECIT team presented the supporting documentation for the results obtained in this key phase of the accreditation process, fully complying with the guidelines and stages established by the evaluating body.
The official presentation was attended by Dr. José A. Nieto Rojas, rector of our University; Dr. Gressy Zúñiga, director of accreditation; Dr. Julie Guerrero, institutional auditor; and Lic. Alani Tamayo, accreditation assistant. The report was received by Dr. Benavides Terrientes, representing the CONEAUPA technical team.
This process constitutes a significant step toward the program's accreditation and reflects UMECIT's firm commitment to academic excellence, institutional transparency, and the consolidation of a high-level educational offering that meets the country's needs.
