UMECIT continues celebrating Psychology Week with an international focus

As part of Psychology Week, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) held an enriching Panama-Colombia internationalization event under the slogan "Let's Talk About Neuropsychology."

On this occasion, we were honored to have the participation of Dr. Alexander González, a Colombian expert, who shared a keynote address with our academic community entitled "Child Neuropsychology in the School Context." His presentation allowed attendees to reflect and delve deeper into the impact of brain function on children's development, learning, and behavior.

During the session, key aspects of understanding how neuropsychological difficulties can interfere with students' academic performance and emotional development were addressed. Dr. González offered practical tools for early detection and intervention from an educational and psychological perspective, emphasizing the importance of building more inclusive and empathetic school environments.

This international experience reaffirms UMECIT's commitment to providing humane, up-to-date training that is sensitive to the challenges faced by psychology and education professionals in real-life settings.

We thank Dr. González for his valuable contribution to our community and for being part of this week of celebration, learning, and growth.
