UMECIT commemorates World Day Against Child Abuse with awareness and prevention event

On July 15, within the framework of the World Day Against Child Abuse, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT), Panama – Veneto campus, carried out a significant academic and training day with the aim of raising awareness within the university community about the importance of preventing child abuse.

The activity was attended by active participation of students, teachers, graduates and administrative staff, and it was a space for reflection, integration and learning. We highlight the valuable intervention of representatives of SENNIAF, who shared key knowledge about child protection, risk factors, and community-based prevention strategies.

As part of the closure, the Professor José Luis Prieto It offered a group dynamic that allowed attendees to exchange experiences and strengthen their collective commitment to defending children's rights.

The races that were included in this event were: Social Work, Psychology, Preschool Education, Humanities and Law.

We thank all participants, both in person and virtually, for their commitment to building a more conscious, supportive and humanistic.
