Workshop “Healthy Relationships: Communication, Boundaries and Bonds that Add Value”

 

As part of the commemoration of February 14th, the La Chorrera headquarters of UMECIT, Through her Psychological Clinic, she developed the workshop “Healthy relationships: Communication, boundaries, and bonds that add value”, in conjunction with the Gender Office of the La Chorrera City Hall.

The activity, coordinated by Lic. Víctor José Tejada Coronado and Mgtr. Alexis Del Cid, was conceived as an intergenerational psychoeducational space focused on strengthening key skills such as assertive communication, he setting healthy boundaries and the building positive relationships in various contexts.

The workshop promoted a deeper reflection on the meaning of healthy relationships, transcending the traditional approach of February 14th, to address emotional and social well-being from a holistic perspective.

The following people participated in this event:

  • Senior students as main facilitators
  • Second and third year students as educational support
  • Senior citizens who graduated from the project Golden Age Season One
  • Representatives from the Gender Department of the Mayor's Office of La Chorrera

This initiative not only strengthened students' practical learning, but also consolidated the link between the university and the local government, reaffirming the institutional commitment to social development, emotional education and the building of healthier communities.
