In commemoration of Suicide Prevention Month, the psychoeducational workshop was held “Breaking the Silence: Understanding and Preventing Suicide”, an initiative that arises in response to the growing social and academic concern surrounding suicidal behavior, recognized as a public health problem requiring preventive attention and intervention.
The activity aimed to provide psychoeducational tools to psychology students and the university community, with the goal of identifying warning signs, risk factors, and protective factors, as well as debunking myths and offering information on psychological support resources.
The event created an environment of awareness and learning, where participants expressed satisfaction at receiving clear, practical, and useful information to understand the problem of suicide. The importance of psychoeducation and prevention in academic and community settings was also promoted.
