The CamCafé event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Agriculture and Tourism of West Panama, in collaboration with the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT), La Chorrera branch, was a great success.
The activity, entitled “Income Tax Return and Financial Education: A Comprehensive Guide”, was consolidated as a space for learning, updating and networking, aimed at students in the area of Finance and Accounting, businessmen, entrepreneurs and senior citizens of the Golden Age project.
During the event, renowned professionals and experts in tax and finance shared practical knowledge on the correct preparation of income tax returns, financial planning, tax awareness, and responsible economic decision-making. Participants had the opportunity to clarify doubts, exchange experiences, and strengthen their skills in a dynamic and participatory environment.
The event also brought together established companies and new ventures that formalized their membership in the Chamber of Commerce, reaffirming the association's commitment to the region's business growth.
This initiative represents a significant step forward in strengthening institutional ties between UMECIT La Chorrera and the Panama West Chamber of Commerce, planning future joint actions such as specialized seminars, continuing education programs, and job fairs that will benefit the university community and the productive sector.
CamCafé is thus consolidated as a platform for articulation between academia, business and community, promoting professional, business and social development in the region.
The event was attended by the board of directors of the Panama West Chamber of Commerce, headed by its president, Mr. Juan Antonio Ledezma, as well as the coordinators of the La Chorrera branch: Mr. Ernesto Martínez, branch coordinator, and Mr. Alexis Del Cid, extension coordinator.
