Live Neuroanatomy Workshop: Observation of the Brain and Spinal Cord

A few days ago, the students of the group BA 2024 of SCHO PSI They participated in an enriching academic experience: the experiential workshop “Live Neuroanatomy: Observation of the Brain and Spinal Cord”This activity allowed future psychologists to directly explore the structures of the central nervous system through the analysis of a real biological model.

The images captured during the workshop reflect a key moment in the professional training process. The students had the opportunity to observe in situ the brain, spinal cord, corpus callosum, cerebellum, brainstem and other essential structures for understanding human behavior from a neuropsychological perspective.

This experience goes beyond traditional theoretical learning, promoting a deep and applied understanding of the functional organization of the brainFurthermore, it is directly aligned with the graduate profile of the Psychology program, which requires strong competencies in neuroscience, critical thinking, and the ability to integrate anatomical knowledge into clinical evaluation.

Among the main training contributions of this workshop are:

  • The precise scientific observation

  • The development of the neuropsychological reasoning

  • The integration of biological theories with psychological models

  • The consolidation of a ethical commitment and respect for life, essential elements in the responsible practice of psychology

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Professor Yanabel Delgado, who with his dedication, passion, and commitment provided our students with a unique academic experience. His guidance not only provides knowledge but also inspires passion, curiosity, and respect for knowledge.
