Soft Skills and Leadership Workshop Strengthens Community Work in Omar Park

Students from the Social Work and Human Development programs at UMECIT participated in a training day held at Omar Park, where they conducted the Soft Skills and Leadership Workshop aimed at young people from the San Miguelito community and the American Christian School.

During the activity, the students developed workshops and low ropes dynamics, a participatory methodology that promotes teamwork, effective communication and leadership development among the participants.

The event also included the participation of the Mateo Iturralde Lions Club, strengthening collaborative work between the community, institutions and academia.

Through these activities, students applied knowledge and tools specific to Social Work, community education and human development, promoting fundamental soft skills such as leadership, cooperation and group challenge resolution.

This academic experience allowed students to take learning beyond the classroom, generating a positive impact on the community and strengthening their commitment to social service.

With initiatives like this, UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive education of its students and to building more participatory and supportive communities.
