La Chorrera Headquarters awards certificates to participants of the “Golden Age” Social Engagement Project

In a moving ceremony, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT-, headquarters La Chorrera, performed the Presentation of certificates to the participants of the first season of the Social Engagement Project “Golden Age”, aimed at senior citizens.

For a month, the attendees participated in a comprehensive program of training focused on personal and social development, with topics such as Psychological motivation, leadership, medicinal plants, occupational health at home, entrepreneurship, accounting management, basic computer skills, and first aid.

These training sessions were made possible thanks to the commitment of students, teachers and representatives of partner institutions, like the Authority for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (AMPYME) and the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC), who shared their knowledge and experiences.

In total, 22 senior citizens They successfully completed the program, including a participant from 81 years oldAn example of perseverance and a love of learning. Another beneficiary expressed his gratitude for being considered, highlighting that he never had the opportunity to attend university, which reflects the deep human and inclusive value of the project.

The project “Golden Age” reaffirms UMECIT's commitment to the comprehensive education, social responsibility and lifelong learning, promoting human development and social inclusion from a neo-cyberhumanist perspective.
