Our House of Studies actively participated in the First National Simulation of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (SMAPS 2025), an inter-institutional initiative aimed at strengthening national capacities to provide psychological and social support in emergency, crisis, and disaster contexts.
This important activity had the objective of evaluate the mechanisms of coordination, response and psychosocial care in risk situations, highlighting the importance of Emotional well-being as an essential axis in comprehensive risk management and community resilience.
From the General Psychology Degree, the UMECIT students participated with enthusiasm, commitment and vocation of service, applying their theoretical knowledge in simulated scenarios that recreated real emergency conditionsThrough this training experience, they strengthened fundamental skills such as emotional containment, psychological first aid, empathic communication, stress management and interdisciplinary work.
