Students of the subject Social Psychology II They carried out a valuable psychoeducational intervention with the purpose of promote voluntary blood donation, highlighting its importance as an act of altruism, solidarity and commitment to life.
During the development of this initiative, the following were identified: erroneous beliefs, fears and misinformation that still persist in the Panamanian population and limit active participation in donation processes. Faced with this reality, strategies were designed and implemented information, awareness and consciousness-raising, aimed at various audiences, with the aim of debunk myths, generate reflection, and promote empathy to those who require transfusions to survive.
The actions implemented included educational campaigns, interactive activities, and community dialogue spaces, aimed at creating a culture of voluntary, continuous, and responsible donation.
This educational experience not only strengthened the students' professional skills from a social and human perspective, but also positively impacted the community, paving the way for a more conscious and supportive society.
