The past Saturday, October 11, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- proudly celebrated the First Ceremony of Imposition of Caps and Pins of the Bachelor of Nursing, an act full of emotion, symbolism and professional significance.
During the ceremony, the students experienced one of the most momentous moments of their training: wear the white uniform for the first time, symbol of purity, dedication and commitment to human careThe ladies received the cap adorned with a pink ribbon representing the university, while all the students proudly wore their degree pin and lit the lamp, universal emblem of nursing, which symbolizes the light of knowledge, wisdom and the vocation of service.
The event was attended by university authorities, teachers, administrators and family members, as well as distinguished special guests, including the Mr. Felipe Ríos, president of the National Association of Nurses of Panama (ANEP), and the Dr. Elba de Icaza, a recognized national and international reference in nursing.
This ceremony marks a historic moment for UMECIT, which celebrates the commitment and dedication of its first generation of nursing students. Through this symbolic act, future professionals proudly assume their responsibility to care for, accompany and transform lives from ethics, vocation and humanity.
