  • In case of prolonged absence, the student must present a justified argumentation.
  • All students of the Specialization programs must have basic computer skills.
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative index of 2 on a scale of 1 to 3.
  • Pass each subject with a minimum grade of 81 on a scale of 1 to 100 which is equivalent to B.

The Master's Degree in Technological and Pedagogical Innovations in Emerging Digital Contexts is an Academic Master's Degree since it culminates with a research project. The student who enters the program cannot exceed 4 years of permanence in it.

In order to obtain the Master's Degree it is required:

  • Maintain a cumulative academic index of not less than two (2.00) on a scale of three (3.00).
  • Take a certification exam of a second language recognized by UNESCO, in accordance with internal regulations.
  • Complete and pass all the subjects of the curriculum with a minimum grade of 81 points equivalent to a B.
  • Prepare, support and approve the Final Research and Application Project: Within the framework of the Master's Degree, participants must complete a Final Application and Intervention Project in order to put into practice the learning achieved throughout the Master's Degree in Technological Innovations and Pedagogical in Emerging Digital Contexts. The student will develop a research project and professional application through the diagnosis of the local, regional or national context. To do this, it will start from the project proposal developed in the Research Methodology course, in order to develop a project to solve a specific problem through the use of technological innovations and emerging digital resources.

It may also evaluate additional literature, install equipment, platforms and tools, conduct tests, surveys and other inquiry activities that facilitate the diagnosis of situations specific to Technological Innovations and Emerging Digital Contexts.

The objective is to develop the research and application project proposal. The student will have a tutor who will support and guide him/her during the development of his/her project. During the four-month period, the student will carry out the designs, implementations, experimentations, measurements and fine-tuning of the products defined in the formulation of the intervention project.

In this final Research and Application Project, students pose an academic, social, or political problem that can be solved through the use of technological innovations and emerging digital resources. This problem is justified, supported, determined by the context of application, the theoretical framework, the prospective, general and specific objectives, the expected results, the way in which the proposal will be administered. Likewise, detail the project evaluation methodology with the corresponding indicators. All this with the list of bibliography. The development of this project focuses on know-how, on learning by doing, on learning by learning, since they must apply what they have worked on in the different subjects of the Master's Degree in Technological and Pedagogical Innovations in Emerging Digital Contexts. Namely:

  • Retake, review and update the Project presented at the end of the Research Methodology subject.
  • Define the link between the proposed solution to the problem and the theoretical framework from which it will be developed. For this, they will resume conceptualizations of the different subjects studied: Digital ecosystems in learning environments; Critical and creative digital citizenship; hybrid realities; Pedagogical innovations in digital contexts; Disruptive education and gamer culture; Artificial Intelligence and Education; Big Data and Education.
  • They will determine and justify the technological structure that they will use for the implementation of the project.
  • Apply what has been worked on in the Digital Narratives Workshop, Technological Tools for Education; Computational Thinking, Robotics applied to educational contexts, Hybrid Realities, for the development of resources that will serve to respond to the problem posed.
  • Select and design innovative and digital resources that facilitate the solution to the problem posed (all the subjects of the master's degree).
  • Integrate resources and tools that, without being pedagogical, enhance and expand the possibilities of a technological structure, turning it into a bridge that allows the generation of a Personal Learning Environment, PLE, interacting within larger networks (Hybrid Realities, new challenges to navigate complexity, Digital Ecosystems in learning environments, Artificial Intelligence in Education, Robotics applied to education, Disruptive Education and gamer culture, Computational Thinking in Education).
  • Design the technological structure integrating everything developed and selected, taking into account the problem posed and the framework developed.
  • Link the technological structure with external tools that are pertinent to the theme and the problem to be solved (Subjects Workshop on the Production of Digital Narratives based on 2.0 resources, Big Data in Education, Hybrid Realities, Disruptive Education and gamer culture, Technological tools for The education).

The final results will be presented by the student to a jury of specialists during the grade exam. The grade exam will consist of supporting the final research and application project and the oral evaluation by questioning the student about aspects of their project. For this, the video conference system will be used.
