Career Description

The race of Master's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing Management is to train professionals capable of leading administrative, financial, promotion, business problem solving and decision-making processes.

Participants will develop skills to delve into areas of specialized knowledge, which will allow them to design, execute, and measure the impacts of marketing strategies, based on detailed analysis and knowledge. In addition, they will have the ability to incorporate innovation components into value propositions, taking into account the latest trends in information and communications, and maintaining an ethical and social responsibility position.
  • Develop marketing programs for the industry or service of a company. Develop skills for planning, teamwork and problem solving in a company.
  • Provide creative consultancies in the face of global changes in the economy.
  • Manage innovative tools to promote the management market.
  • Prepare a report based on quantitative methods.

The program is aimed at related professionals who converge in the multidisciplinary management of business administration and management, with special emphasis on the management of human talent, both in public and private organizations. The entry requirements for the Specialization in Business Administration and the Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing Management described below, must be scanned from the original and sent to the promoter to be filed on the respective platform:

  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (if you are a foreigner, the document must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your respective country).
  • Certificate of credits or degree notes or its equivalent (if you are a foreigner, the documents must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your respective country).
  • Identity document, identity card or passport (in the case of foreigners and residing in Panama during their studies).
  • Two passport size photos.

Note: Students enrolled in virtual modality, whose nationality is different from Panamanian, must present a copy of their physical identity document from the country of origin (identity card).

Permanence at the University will depend solely and exclusively on the student, his motivation and ability to obtain the academic degree. The minimum time spent at the University is five semesters. The student must obtain a minimum cumulative academic index of 2.00 or a minimum grade of 81 (B) to stay in both the specialization and the master's degree.
Given the characteristics of the University, the student must be able to:
  • Study individually and in a team. Develop research skills and learn from discovery. Deepen the disciplinary knowledge that interests you.
  • Respect and comply with the regulations established by the statutes that regulate the relationship between the Metropolitan University of Education Science and Technology and the students.
  • Comply with payments in a timely manner.
  • Attend the 80% of the scheduled meetings in each subject (in case of a prolonged absence present the respective justification). For studies under the virtual modality, attendance is regulated by constant interaction in all activities planned on the platform, including synchronous and asynchronous meetings, as well as the student's autonomous work.
To obtain the title of Specialist in Business Administration, the following is required:
  • Study and pass the academic content of the two semesters, containing 24 credits. Maintain an accumulated academic index of not less than 2.00, on a scale of 0 to 3.00.
  • Maintain an average equal to or greater than 2.00, on a scale from 0 to 3.00, and not have subjects less than 81, on a scale from 0 to 100.
  • Present a foreign language exam or certificate recognized by UNESCO, current (less than five years), no less than 40 hours.
  • Submit an exam or certificate in the use of computer tools, not less than 40 hours.
  • Elaborate, support and approve the degree work (monograph).
  • Be in peace and safe with treasury for all concepts (registration, degree rights, among others) and with a library.
To obtain the Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing Management, the following is required:
  • Study and pass the academic contents of the five quarters, containing 62 credits. Satisfactorily pass all the subjects of the study plan.
  • Maintain a cumulative and individual academic index for each subject of at least 2.00. Present a foreign language exam or certificate recognized by UNESCO, current (less than five years), no less than 40 hours.
  • Submit an exam or certificate in the use of computer tools, not less than 40 hours.
  • Prepare, support and approve the thesis (the degree work).
  • Prepare a scientific article as a product of the research work.
Be in good standing with the treasury for all concepts (tuition, fees, among others) and with the library.
