Career Description
The Specialization in Strategic Human Resources Management It is a program with a global vision that seeks to generate competencies and develop skills, allowing participants to have active, solid, and competent training in the area of human resources, both within the framework of a national and international economy.
The program seeks to develop new professionals in strategic human resources management who, in addition to solid knowledge of specific skills in the field, possess a holistic understanding of the company and a professional attitude that empowers the rest of the organization, addressing situations specific to conflict resolution and managing union pressure.
It delves into the growing importance of business management in sustaining a business model, as well as strategic planning, as a tool to achieve and maintain a competitive advantage.
Additionally, it guides participants in understanding, leading, and managing change processes in organizations. This is done with the goal of analyzing the most important aspects of change processes in organizational cultures and in management and leadership methodologies. It addresses topics related to the dynamics and strategies of change, paradigm building, liberation strategies, and personal and business development.
Graduates of the Specialization in Strategic Human Resources Management will be able to perform efficiently at the national or international level in areas such as:
- Consulting in the public or private sector.
- Consulting in audits and review of human resources management processes.
- General management in human resources.
- Management in administrative and organizational strategies of human talent.
- Direction in human resources management.
All applicants must submit the following documents, duly scanned from the original, and send them to the promoter for hosting on the respective platform:
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree credits or grades or their equivalent.
- Identity document (passport in case of foreigners residing in Panama).
- Current passport-sized photo.
- Electronic admission form.
Note: If you are a foreigner, documents such as diplomas and credits must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your respective country. If your country does not have a consulate, you must complete the process through the official authorities to validate them.
Students enrolled in the virtual program whose nationality is not Panamanian must present a copy of their personal identification document from their country of origin.
If you are a foreign student, these documents must be provided with an apostille seal or diplomatic legalization, along with a translation into Spanish.
The permanence in the University will depend on the student's motivation, capacity and vision to obtain the chosen degree.
Given the profile of the university's “NEOCYBERHUMANIST” curricular educational model, the student must:
- Pass each subject with a minimum grade of 81 on a scale of 1 to 100, which is equivalent to literal B.
- Study in teams and individually.
- Develop research skills based on discovery learning.
- Deepen in the disciplinary knowledge that is of interest to them.
- Respect and comply with the regulations established by the statutes that regulate the relationship between the University and the students.
- Be up to date with their monthly payments.
- Attend at least 80 % meetings in person.
- For studies under the virtual modality, attendance is regulated through constant interaction in all activities planned on the platform, including synchronous and asynchronous meetings, as well as the development of the student's autonomous work.
- In case of prolonged absence, a justified justification must be presented.
- All students in the Specialization programs must demonstrate basic computer skills, which they must demonstrate during the first semester.
To obtain the title of Specialist the following is required:
- Complete and pass all subjects in the curriculum with a minimum grade of 81 points, equivalent to a B.
- Maintain a cumulative academic index of not less than two (2.00) on a scale of three (3.00).
- Take a certification exam of a second language recognized by UNESCO, in accordance with internal regulations.
- Develop and approve an analytical documentary review work on a topic in your area of training, in accordance with the Manual for the presentation of UMECIT research papers (D-16).
- Be in good standing with the institution (financial, academic, and library).
Upon completion of their training, graduates of the Specialization in Strategic Human Resources Management are expected to have developed the skills necessary to understand and interpret reality in the various contexts of management and human resources. Using the tools offered by the program, they will be able to propose strategies, methods, and actions aimed at solving the problems of the context and strengthening the various processes, projects, and research carried out within this field.
The skills developed by the Strategic Human Resources Management Specialist will be broadly and comprehensively reflected in their actions and thinking, both personally and professionally, from the dimensions of knowing, doing, being, living, and undertaking.
Knowing:
- Gain an understanding of human resource management theory, emphasizing managerial and operational functions, reconciling the objectives and responsibilities of the organizations' stakeholders, regardless of their size or whether they are private or state-owned.
- Design personnel strategies that align with the plans the organization wants to achieve for its growth and development.
- Understands how decisions are made in organizations operating in the industrial, commercial, or service sectors, based on the country's socioeconomic and cultural reality, as well as the demands of the national and international markets.
- Learn the factors involved in making decisions about a strategy that is consistent with the company's plans.
- He has knowledge of training techniques that can be used for both different positions and management.
- Gain knowledge on relevant aspects such as: motivation, organizational culture, the social sphere of the company and its repercussions, and other important aspects,
- Receive information to present, explain, and argue how political, ideological, social, and economic factors have significantly influenced the development of new labor law.
- Understand each of the steps to follow for organizing the human resources department.
