We brought joy to children in Lídice in celebration of Three Kings Day

As part of the Three Kings Day celebration, UMECIT carried out a moving community activity in Lídice de Capira, Panama Oeste province, bringing joy and moments of togetherness to the children and families of this community.

More than 50 children, accompanied by their parents, participated in this activity, enjoying an atmosphere full of joy, games and spaces for healthy family interaction.

This action reaffirms UMECIT's commitment to social engagement and community development, strengthening ties with communities and promoting values such as solidarity, social responsibility, and teamwork.

Likewise, the activity carried out in the community of Lídice integrates the substantive functions of UMECIT, by articulating the academy, through the formative participation of the students; the research, through the observation of social needs; the extension, with the social projection of the volunteer Manos que Transforman; and the management, through the institutional coordination and organization.

The initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the campus coordinator, the Extension Coordination, and the Psychological Counseling Center, as part of UMECIT's "Hands That Transform" volunteer project. During the event, toys, piñatas, and other gifts were distributed, thanks to the invaluable support of students, faculty, and administrative staff from UMECIT's La Chorrera campus.
