Environmental education increases the awareness and knowledge of students, teachers, administrators and the general public about environmental issues or problems. Doing so provides the tools necessary to make informed decisions and responsible actions.
As part of the UMECIT-Ministry of the Environment Agreement, we have carried out the “Learning Environmental Culture in Higher Education” program since 2021, demonstrating our commitment to a healthy environment as a fundamental right. This commitment consolidates the culture of environmental conservation inside and outside the institution, responding to an action plan to reduce the environmental impact of the environment.
The “Learning Environmental Culture in Higher Education” program begins on June 27, 2024, with the theme “Importance of protected areas for the protection and conservation of life”, reaffirming our commitment to education and environmental sustainability.
