Training sessions of the Constitutional Literacy Program

For one week, different groups of students from UMECIT – Chitré Campus participated in the First Round of Training of the Constitutional Literacy Program, developed in coordination with the Presidential Secretariat for the Reorganization of the State and Constitutional Affairs.

These training sessions aimed to strengthen the academic community's knowledge of constitutional rights, duties, and guarantees, promoting responsible civic participation within the constitutional process of the Original Constituent Assembly in the country.

The training sessions were led by Rubén García, coordinator of the Presidential Secretariat for State Reorganization and Constitutional Affairs, along with constitutional literacy instructors Juvenal Monteza and José Muñoz, who shared key tools and knowledge with the students about the importance of citizen participation in democratic processes.

Through these training spaces, students were able to reflect on the role of citizens in building a more participatory State, as well as on the importance of knowing and exercising their rights within the constitutional framework.

With initiatives like this, UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to the formation of conscious, participatory citizens committed to the democratic development of the country, promoting respect for and defense of social and civic rights.
