Down Syndrome Awareness Day at UMECIT – La Chorrera Campus

The past March 21st, at headquarters A of La Chorrera, an enriching event was held Down Syndrome Awareness Day, led by the teacher anna bieberach from his subject Biological Basis of Behavior.

 The activity, organized with the support of the academic coordination of Psychology and the extension department, was attended by First-year students of the Bachelor's Degree in General Psychology in 2025, both night and day shifts.

This type of initiatives reinforce the social and human commitment that we promote in our students from their first four-month periods of training, integrating theory with practice in a real environment.

We congratulate the professor and all the participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to this activity, which strengthens ties within our university community and fosters learning with social impact.
