Students of the Bachelor's Degree in Law and Political Sciences from UMECIT University actively participated in the academic day entitled “Electoral Crimes, Offenses and Contraventions”, organized in conjunction with the Electoral Prosecutor's Office.
The activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge of future legal professionals regarding Panama's electoral legal system, highlighting the importance of identifying, preventing, and punishing conduct that undermines the integrity of the country's democratic processes.
During the day, students were able to analyze practical cases and receive direct guidance from representatives of the Electoral Prosecutor's Office, which provided a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the electoral system and the fundamental role that legal experts play in defending and strengthening it.
🙌 UMECIT extends a special thanks to Professor Gino Osellame, for their management and support in this valuable training experience, and Electoral Prosecutor's Office for his commitment to higher education and the ethical training of the country's future professionals.
⚖️ At UMECIT, we reaffirm our commitment to critical, ethical, and socially impactful education.
