In commemoration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- will develop the II Occupational Health and Safety Conference, aligned with the theme proposed by the International Labour Organization (ILO):
“Revolutionizing health and safety: The role of AI and digitalization at work.”
This academic event will focus on analyzing the impacts of emerging technologies in work environments, such as artificial intelligence (AI), collaborative robots, exoskeletons, the Internet of Things (IoT), virtual and augmented reality, UAVs (drones), and big data analytics. All these advances are transforming work processes, which implies New challenges in occupational risk management and public policy formulation that guarantee safe and healthy working environments.
The conference will also address the implications of new employment modalities such as teleworking, digital platforms, and hybrid work, assessing psychosocial, ergonomic, and digital disconnection risks.
With the participation of national and international experts, the exchange of experiences, regulatory analysis, and the presentation of innovative strategies to successfully address the challenges of the digital age will be encouraged.
UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to teaching, research and outreach, consolidating spaces for interdisciplinary dialogue that promote sustainable solutions and a solid preventive culture in the training of professionals.
