Pedagogical Tour of the Bachelor's Degree in Preschool Education to the Santa Madre Laura Montoya Children's Dining Hall

Within the framework of the training and social projection activities promoted by the Faculty of Humanities, the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Preschool Education They made an educational tour to Santa Madre Laura Montoya Children's Dining Hall, located in the community of New Jerusalem, in the district of Arraiján.

During the day, the future teachers developed children's entertainment activities aimed at children between 3 and 6 years old, who regularly attend the cafeteria in search of food and support. Through games, playful dynamics and pedagogical strategies, the students strengthened their ability to generate significant educational experiences in contexts of social vulnerability.

As part of this solidarity initiative, a healthy toast to the children of the community and the dry food donation, with the purpose of supporting the basic needs of the children's dining room and contributing to its sustainability.

This experience represents a experiential learning space, which allowed students to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom, reaffirming the commitment of the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- with the comprehensive training, the university social responsibility and the sustainable human development.
