Strengthening the connection between academia and the employer sector: professional practice field visits in Occupational Safety and Health

With the aim of strengthening the connection between academia and the employer sector, a series of field visits were carried out for the professional practice students of the Technical and Bachelor's programs in Occupational Safety and Health.

These visits, coordinated and led by Professor Esperanza González, the program's responsible tutor, became a crucial space for direct dialogue with representatives of the companies where students carry out their internships.

During the meetings, an open and constructive conversation was held about the roles the trainees were performing, the strengths observed, and the opportunities for improvement identified in the development and implementation of their proposals.

The feedback from the employer sector proved invaluable, as it allowed the university to adjust graduate profiles and more precisely guide the development of key competencies in students.
