The forum “Art, Gender and Conscious Creation” promotes dialogue on inclusion and social transformation
In a space for reflection and inter-institutional dialogue, the Ministry of Women developed the forum “Art, Gender and Conscious Creation”, with the purpose of analyzing the role of art in building a more just, inclusive and conscious society.
During the event, the Minister of Women, Niurka Palacio, emphasized the importance of highlighting art as a key tool for social transformation and women's empowerment. Likewise, the Vice Minister of Culture, Arianne Benedetti, shared her reflections on artistic creation as a means of promoting inclusion and gender equality.
The day included workshops focused on the social construction of gender, symbolic violence in artistic expression, and conscious creative practices, promoting spaces for critical analysis and creative expression. A panel discussion was also held, showcasing innovative experiences in artistic creation with a gender perspective.
UMECIT actively participated in this important meeting through Ms. Mylena Barba.
For our university, these initiatives represent a valuable opportunity to strengthen strategic ties and promote joint actions that generate social impact, benefiting the university community and society in general.
