Flag Football: energy, teamwork and Umec spirit in action

Last Saturday, October 11, 2025, the University Welfare Department of UMECIT held a Flag Football sports day, in which our students demonstrated enthusiasm, camaraderie and passion for the sport.

The meeting, held at the facilities of the International Bilingual Institute (IBI), brought together young athletes who are part of the university team, who participated in an internal friendly match as part of their training and physical strengthening process.

The game started at 4:10 pm under the coordination and refereeing of Professor Dante Leone, and concluded at 5:50 pm, after an intense game in which discipline, respect and sportsmanship prevailed.
Two teams were formed: Team A, with 9 players, and Team B, with 8, with the former emerging victorious with a score of 17 to 6.

Although USMA University and the Don Bosco Gators were unable to participate due to administrative and scheduling reasons, the friendly match allowed the sport to remain active, fostering unity, perseverance, and healthy competition among UMECIT students.

These types of activities reflect the institutional commitment to comprehensive university life, promoting spaces that strengthen physical and mental health, leadership, and a sense of belonging.
