Umecit – University in Panama

Psychology students from UMECIT Panama Campus are on an academic tour to promote community well-being.

In recent days, students of the career of General psychology from UMECIT Panama Headquarters, together with the Master Horley Barret, carried out an academic tour within the framework of the subject Community Psychology. The main objective of this activity was to community awareness and education on key issues for social well-being, respect and healthy coexistence.

Through interactive dynamics, talks and educational activities, the participants promoted a safe and respectful environment, addressing three fundamental axes:

🔹 Body orientation in early childhood
✔️ Promote body awareness and care from an early age.
✔️ Teach the importance of respect for oneself and others.
✔️ Promote healthy and safe habits in children.

🔹 Preventing bullying in children
✔️ Raise awareness about the impact of bullying on emotional and physical well-being.
✔️ Promote empathy and mutual respect in children.
✔️ Implement playful dynamics to identify and prevent bullying.

🔹 Sexual and reproductive health in adolescents and adults
✔️ Provide accessible and clear information about body care and sexual health.
✔️ Resolve questions about sexuality in a safe environment.
✔️ Encourage open dialogue about responsible and healthy practices.

 

This initiative reinforces UMECIT's commitment to education and social impact, promoting essential values such as empathy, respect and comprehensive well-being at all stages of life.
