Last Saturday, February 7, fourth semester students of the Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management Administration at UMECIT made a technical field visit to the production plant of the Italcol company, located in the district of Capira, as part of their academic training process.
During the day, the students analyzed the interaction between the organizational structure and the production processes, addressing key aspects of human talent management, such as the design of job profiles, industrial safety and compliance with current labor regulations.
Additionally, the environmental management systems integrated into the company's value chain were evaluated, with an emphasis on identifying environmental aspects and impacts arising from the production process, as well as the mitigation measures implemented. Furthermore, the circular economy protocols applied by Italcol, aimed at ensuring responsible operations aligned with the sustainability standards of the agribusiness sector, were analyzed.
This academic experience allowed future professionals to understand the importance of human capital as a central element for the effective implementation of environmental policies, the optimization of resources, and organizational sustainability in highly complex business contexts.
The activity was developed within the framework of the subject Human Resources Management, under the direction and tutoring of Professor Luis Rodríguez Villarreta, with the objective of strengthening practical learning through direct observation of the organizational and productive processes of a large-scale operational company.
