Forensic Science and Criminology students attend a hearing in the Accusatory Criminal Justice System of the Province of Colón.

Recently, students from the Faculty of Law and Forensic Sciences of the Bachelor's Program in Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences, who are studying Criminal Procedure Law, participated in an enriching visit to the Accusatory Criminal Justice System of the Province of Colón to attend a hearing.

The activity, led by Professor Khumar Villalobos, allowed students to experience firsthand the dynamics and development of a hearing, highlighting the transparency of the Panamanian system, which, for the most part, allows for the attendance of listeners at public hearings. However, it is important to note that in some cases, certain restrictions and security considerations apply.

This experience provides a valuable practical introduction to the reality of criminal law practice and strengthens our students' academic training.
