Nautical Sciences students participated in an emergency response training session

The Faculty of Nautical Sciences, along with final-year students Lorena Centella and Yamir Varela of the Bachelor's Degree in Maritime and Port Management, participated in a training session on emergency response to incidents in confined spaces, focusing on the rescue of personnel in risky situations.

The event was organized by VT Shipping International, reaffirming its commitment to training future professionals in the maritime and port sector through the exchange of technical knowledge and practical experiences.

During the day, students strengthened key skills in occupational safety, risk management, rescue techniques, and first aid, among other fundamental aspects of their professional development. These training sessions complement and enrich the academic training received in the classroom, preparing them to face the challenges of the workplace.

We express our gratitude to VT Shipping International for its valuable contribution and for strengthening the ties of collaboration between the business sector and academia, thus contributing to the development of highly qualified professionals aligned with the demands of today's market.
