UMECIT conducted the academic workshop “Education and Inclusion with Purpose”This initiative aimed to strengthen the professional skills of future teachers, promoting training with an ethical, pedagogical, and inclusive approach. It provided an opportunity to reflect on contemporary challenges in education and the importance of ensuring practices that recognize diversity and comprehensively address students' needs.
The workshop was aimed at students of the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Personal Training and the Bachelor's Degree in Preschool Education, who received theoretical and methodological tools for their future professional performance, especially in the construction of inclusive and accessible educational environments.
This activity was developed within the framework of UMECIT's Inclusive Education Program, and was organized in conjunction with the Faculty of Humanities and the University Welfare Coordination.
The meeting included the participation of Richard González, M.Sc., and Dr. Gina Spencer, recognized for their career in the fields of education and inclusion, who guided the training sessions and enriched the experience with their expertise.
With initiatives like this, UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to training teachers capable of promoting transformative education with a humanistic and social approach.
