General Objective
Physical Activity in Pregnancy and Postpartum
- Identify the different anatomical, physiological, and functional changes that occur at each stage of pregnancy and their implications for physical activity and exercise.
- To delve into the benefits produced by the practice of physical activity in the mother and the fetus
- Review the theoretical bases and concepts for the design of exercise programs and prescribe it adequately for pregnant and postpartum women.

- Complementary training in physical and functional training, exercise prescription in different populations, orthopedic manual therapy, kinesiotaping, Pilates mat and reformer method.
Session 1: (4 hours)
Anatomical and physiological changes in pregnancy.
Session 2: (4 hours)
Recommendations for the practice of physical activity and exercise during pregnancy and postpartum.
Made up of a theoretical-practical content, it will be developed in a virtual academic environment, with permanent accompaniment from the teacher. The content of the seminar will be developed in two modules of 4 hours each, for a total of 8 hours in a period of two weeks.
The deepening of the morphophysiological bases and the responses and adaptations to exercise in pregnant women will provide the seminar participants with tools to understand the biological processes characteristic of this stage, who following the current guidelines and recommendations will be able to design programs of exercise and physical conditioning according to each period through which the woman passes during pregnancy.
To obtain the certificate, each participant must have an attendance of 80% of the total hours of the seminar.
Have basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and exercise prescription.
