Conference on Administrative Acts, Facts and the Right of Petition strengthens legal training at UMECIT Chitré campus

Students of the Bachelor of Law and Political Science at UMECIT, Chitré campus, participated in the conference “Act, Administrative Facts and Right of Petition”, developed within the framework of the subject of Administrative Law.

The conference delved into national regulations concerning the right to petition, a fundamental mechanism that allows citizens to submit requests to public officials. It also analyzed the legal implications of failing to respond within the legally established timeframes.

The activity included the participation of teachers and graduates, who joined the space for academic reflection, strengthening the link between the University and the institutions of the public sector.

The academic session was led by Marlenis Isabel Vásquez Cardoze, provincial secretary of Los Santos for the Attorney General's Office, who shared her professional experience and knowledge about the functioning of public administration and the exercise of citizens' rights with the students.

This type of initiative allows students to complement their theoretical training with experiences from the professional field, promoting critical, analytical and prospective thinking, as well as ethical commitment in the practice of law.

With these actions, UMECIT reaffirms its neo-cyberhumanist educational model, promoting collaboration with regional institutions and strengthening university outreach through academic spaces that enrich the training of the country's future professionals.
