For four days, external peer evaluators reviewed in detail the curriculum, teaching methodologies, infrastructure and available resources of the Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety. Likewise, they interacted directly with students, teachers, graduates and administrators. The meetings and interviews conducted provided a comprehensive view of the program, highlighting both our strengths and areas for improvement.
After this intense evaluation, our House of Studies said goodbye to Dr. Alicia Inciarte, Dr. Alessandra Comini and Dr. Evelio Vega, who visited us for the accreditation of the Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health. The closing took place at the Santiago Headquarters, where they met with students, teachers and administrators from the region.
Our rector, José Alberto Nieto Rojas, expressed his gratitude to the peer evaluators, as well as to the accreditation team, headed by Dr. Gressy Zúñiga, the accreditation assistant Alanis Tamayo, the Coordinator of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Lic. Lourdes Iribarren, the Coordinator of the Occupational Health and Safety Career, Ricaurte Betancourt, and all the staff involved: directors, coordinators, support staff and, in general, the entire Umecist community for their commitment and professionalism.
This evaluation process is not only a necessary requirement for accreditation, but also an opportunity to improve and strengthen our academic programs. The visit of external peers has allowed us to receive valuable feedback that will contribute to the continuous development of our educational offer, ensuring that our students receive quality training.
The commitment shown by all members of the university community has been fundamental to the success of this visit. From the first moment, each of you has expressed your dedication and professionalism, key factors to achieve a positive evaluation.
Rector Nieto Rojas highlighted: «This accreditation is a reflection of the hard work and passion that each member of our community puts into their daily work. “We are confident that the results of this visit will contribute significantly to our growth and academic excellence.”
Finally, we especially thank the external peers, Dr. Alicia Inciarte, Dr. Alessandra Comini and Dr. Evelio Vega, for their time, knowledge and professionalism throughout the evaluation process. Your visit has been an enriching experience that drives us to continue improving and continue offering high-quality education.
Thank you all for your dedication and effort! Together we continue to build a university of excellence.
