Within the framework of the social projection actions of the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT), the Psychology program carried out a significant day of community intervention in the community of San Francisco, Las Garzas, under the coordination of the Mgter. Horley Barrett.
This activity is part of our institutional commitment to the university extension and social engagement, promoting comprehensive well-being at various stages of the life cycle.
To raise community awareness on key topics related to personal development, emotional health, and self-care through dynamic, participatory, and educational strategies.
👧 Boys and girls:
Socio-emotional development was fostered through fun and educational group activities. These activities allowed children to identify their emotions and strengthen their self-esteem in an environment of play and learning.
🧑🎓 Teenagers:
A talk was given on identity development, with an emphasis on self-awareness, conscious decision-making, and building a positive self-image.
👩⚕️ Adults:
Topics related to disease prevention and self-care were discussed, promoting healthy habits and the importance of physical and mental well-being as the foundation for a full life.
