With the aim of promoting inter-institutional cooperation, the exchange of knowledge and the development of future joint initiatives, a meeting was held with the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Agriculture and Tourism of West Panama, aimed at discussing the possible signing of a cooperation agreement and the execution of activities such as job fairs.
The meeting was attended by key members of the Chamber, as well as academic and administrative authorities of the university, including Ernesto Martínez, the Research Coordinator, América Martínez, and the Extension Coordinator, Alexis Del Cid, who contributed their perspectives from the academic, research and outreach areas.
The meeting addressed topics of common interest, emphasizing the importance of consolidating a collaboration that integrates the university's core functions: teaching, research, and outreach. Participants also explored the possibility of establishing links with companies affiliated with the Chamber, with the aim of creating opportunities for professional internships, company visits, and the development of research studies related to the workplace.
Similarly, the strengthening of entrepreneurship was proposed through training programs, workshops and joint educational activities, as well as the articulation of inter-institutional processes that allow for mutual benefits and a positive impact on the communities of the province of Panama West, reaffirming the commitment to the economic and social development of the region.
