Advances in scientific thought at the 22nd Student Research Conference, Chitré campus

In recent days the 22nd Student Research Conference at UMECIT Chitré Campus, an academic space that demonstrates the development of research in the classroom, resulting from the promotion of the research culture contemplated in our institutional educational model.

We are delighted to celebrate our students' growth in research methodologies, reflecting systematic learning and the strengthening of skills and competencies that ensure the development of scientific and critical thinking, capable of inquiring, constructing knowledge, and interpreting the issues in each area of study.

The activity had the participation of the researcher Massiel Vergara, who was the motivational speaker of the day. This year's speakers were 18 articles derived from formative research processes.

The first three places were:

  • 🥇 “Planimetric techniques for locating and documenting clandestine graves”, of the students De Icaza Gutiérrez, Angélica Lorreine; De León, Ana Milagros; Martínez Batista, Arian Jafeth, with teacher tutoring Gabriel Cacó, of the Bachelor of Criminology and Forensic Sciences.

  • 🥈 “Citizen consultation on the crimes of slander and libel”, from the student Mendoza F. Diana Del C., with the teacher's tutoring Zuleyka Gutiérrez.

  • 🥉 “Patient perceptions during the work of the Chitré district”, of the students Villarreal Nicole, with the teacher's tutoring Massiel Vergara.
