Social Bonding
The social bonding subprogram contemplates the awareness and promotion of the conservation of natural resources as a transversal institutional policy, which allows articulating actions in favor of the environment and society from within the university, with the sole purpose that the individual take awareness of your surroundings.
In the same way, through social links, it seeks to establish permanent relationships between the university community, the socio-productive sector, and the environment, establishing modern social ties of productivity, based on libertarian work, solidarity, effectiveness, efficiency, social order, and self-management.
All of the above in order to generate a community intervention plan in networks with government entities, which contribute to the strengthening and development of the economy of these vulnerable sectors, and in turn generating projects that promote the development of activities that produce and contribute goods and services, to strengthen social projection as an intrinsic function of UMECIT.
In this frame of reference, the Social Linkage subprogram that operates from the Extension Directorate contemplates three Projects:
It is assumed as the set of specific actions that aim to consolidate a culture of environmental conservation inside and outside the institution, responding from the institutional Environment Committee, to the realization of an action plan with a view to reducing the environmental impact of the environment, as a citizen responsibility of the entire university community
It is considered as the permanent relationship that implies the integration of the socio-productive and business sector of the region in the exploration of situations and needs of the context that serve to update the institutional academic offer, graduation profiles, among other elements that condition the labor insertion of the graduate with effectiveness to the labor market.
They are conceived as research and intervention proposals whose purpose is to strengthen the presence of the university and its responsibility in solving problems in the social context.
