Career Description
The Master's Degree in Psychopedagogy with an Emphasis in Neuropsychology trains professionals trained to understand the cognitive, emotional and behavioral processes of learning from a neuroscientific perspective, offering practical tools to apply in different areas such as clinical, social work, education, community and company.
Graduates of the Master's Degree in Psychopedagogy with an Emphasis in Neuropsychology will be able to work in various work fields, such as:
- Special education teachers.
- Teachers in child care.
- Teachers in early childhood and primary education.
- Pedagogical coordinators.
- School counselors.
- Pedagogical advisors.
- Universities: teaching and research in the field of psychopedagogy or neuropsychology.
- Psychology.
- Educational psychologists.
- Neuropsychologists.
- Health centers: hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers.
- Private offices: private practice as a psychopedagogue or neuropsychologist.
- Social workers in the educational field.
All applicants must submit the following documentation duly scanned from the original and sent to the promoter to be uploaded to the respective platform:
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree credits or grades or their equivalent.
- Identification document. (passport in the case of foreigners residing in Panama).
- Current passport size photo.
- Electronic admission form.
If you are a foreigner, the documents (Diploma and Credits) must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your respective country. In the event that the country does not have a consulate, you must carry out the procedure with the official authorities that validate it.
Note: Students enrolled in virtual modality whose nationality is different from Panamanian, must present a copy of their personal identity document from the country of origin.
The permanence in the University will depend on the student's motivation, capacity and vision to obtain the chosen degree.
Given the profile of the University's “Neo Cyberhumanist” curricular educational model, the student must:
- Study in teams and individually.
- Develop research skills based on discovery learning.
- Deepen in the disciplinary knowledge that is of interest to them.
- Respect and comply with the regulations established by the statutes that regulate the relationship between the University and the students.
- Be up to date with their monthly payments.
- Attend at least 80% of the meetings in the blended modality.
- For studies under the virtual modality, attendance is regulated by constant interaction in all activities planned on the platform, including synchronous and asynchronous meetings, as well as the development of the student's autonomous work.
- In case of prolonged absence, a justified justification must be presented.
- All students of the Specialization programs must have basic computer skills.
6.1 Index
- Maintain a minimum cumulative index of 2 on a scale of 1 to 3.
6.2 Note
- Pass each subject with a minimum grade of 81 on a scale of 1 to 100 which is equivalent to B.
In order to obtain the SPECIALIZATION IN PSYCHOPEDAGOGY AND MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES:
- Complete and pass all the subjects of the curriculum with a minimum grade of 81 points equivalent to a B.
- Maintain a cumulative academic index of not less than two (2.00) on a scale of three (3.00).
- Take a certification exam for a second language recognized by UNESCO, including English, in accordance with internal regulations.
- Complete an 80-hour internship.
- Prepare, support and approve the internship report.
- Be in good standing with the institution (financial, academic, and library).
To obtain the Master's Degree IN PSYCHOPEDAGOGY WITH EMPHASIS IN NEUROPSYCHOLOGY, the following are required:
- Complete and pass all the academic content of the program enrolled.
- Complete and pass all the subjects of the curriculum with a minimum grade of 81 points equivalent to a B.
- Maintain a cumulative academic index of not less than two (2.00) on a scale of three (3.00).
- To take a certification exam of a second language recognized by UNESCO, minimum of 40 hours. In case of not having the above, the university offers courses in English or another language, for which the respective course will be paid.
- Elaborate, support and approve the degree work.
- Be in good standing with the institution (financial, academic, and library).
In the case of foreign students, they must comply with the local regulations of the country of origin where their degree requires validation.

- Identify the relationship between mind and brain by understanding the different areas and their functions.
- Understands the functioning of mirror neurons and their relationship with learning and the principles of neuroplasticity.
- Explains neurogenetics and its relationship with neuroeducation and the application of learning keys to modify behaviors.
- It recognizes the beginnings of Neuroscience by entering into its history through the adventure review of the human species.

- Acquire knowledge to help improve your own and third parties' learning processes, supported by the approaches of Gardner's Theory and its applicability.
- Receive knowledge about the thematic axes, the authors and the theories that support the intervention with pedagogical tools
- Obtains knowledge about the three key capabilities that indicate students' social intelligence: understanding of the self, understanding of others, and the interrelation of the two intelligences, interpersonal and intrapersonal.
- Studies the higher neuropsychological processes related to learning and neurocognitive functioning and their impact on academic development.
