Career Description
The Bachelor's Degree in Systems and Programming, with intermediate exit of the Systems Technician, attached to the Faculty of Systems and Programming, will allow the systems and programming professional to be able to analyze, develop and apply procedures for the benefit of the new information and communication technologies. Additionally, he/she will be able to complement the processes of maintenance and development of hardware and network technologies that facilitate communication and the operation of information systems within companies or institutions.

- Original and copy (collation) of high school diploma and credits approved by MEDUCA or its equivalent (in case of being a foreigner, the documents must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the respective country and have the endorsement of the Ministry of Education of Panama).
- Two photocopies of the identity card, in case of being a minor, birth certificate (in case of being a foreigner, passport).
- Two passport size photos. Deliver certificates of good physical health.
- Hold an interview with the selection team.

- Twelve quarters minimum in Bachelor's Degree, for those who do not validate subjects.
- To obtain the degree of technician it is required to have completed seven quarters, a total of 105 credits and a specialization seminar as a graduation requirement.

- Complete and pass the academic contents of all subjects with a minimum grade of C.
- Maintain a cumulative academic index of one (1.0) or higher on a scale of one to three.
- Completion of a diploma course or specialization seminar.

- Perform research and development of systems in different fields of application.
- Evaluate the needs and problems of organizations in the field of information processing, in order to design and implement their information systems and internal and external control functions, according to the particularities of the business or activity in question.
- Direct and evaluate technical-economic and feasibility studies in information systems, data processing and communication projects.
- Intervene in teams with an interdisciplinary approach in consulting projects, computer audits, IT process optimization, etc., that require the professional integration of systems specialists with other areas of knowledge.
- Investigate phenomena developed with the conceptual processes of system design. Will value information search strategies to effectively communicate the results of the research.
- Promote and develop Informatics applications in new application areas.
- Evaluate and put into operation the software already developed.
- Plan, direct and control the survey, design and execution of projects, as well as the implementation of information systems in organizations and entities of economic rationality.
- Manage technological and computer resources to achieve an adequate management that fully meets the demands of the organizations and their short and long term strategies.
- Identify problems and opportunities in the environment that can be addressed through the use of information technologies. Undertake information technology projects.
- Use, design, develop and manage information technologies.
- Apply research techniques that support the development projects in which he/she participates.
- Make decisions concerning their professional field.
- Participate in intra and interdisciplinary groups.
- Will be able to analyze, reason, justify facts and elaborate arguments to become a free being, able to learn by himself.
