Bachelor's Degree in
Business Administration

• Original and copy (collation) of high school diploma and credits approved by MEDUCA or its equivalent (in case of being a foreigner, the documents must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the respective country and have the endorsement of the Ministry of Education of Panama).
• Two photocopies of the identity card. In case the applicant is a minor or a foreigner, two copies of the birth certificate or two copies of the passport, respectively, must be submitted.
• Two passport-size photographs.
• Medical certificate of good health.
• Hold an interview with the selection team.
• Fill out the application form to join the program.

• • The permanence in the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration will depend solely and exclusively on the student's motivation, capacity and vision to obtain the chosen academic degree

• • In the same way, the student must keep in mind that his or her general average or cumulative index in his or her career cannot be less than 71, based on a maximum score of 100.

• • A minimum of eleven quarters in the Bachelor's Degree, for those who do not revalidate subjects, of which a minimum of 70% of each subject must be attended.
  • Maintain current payments.
  • All students must attend a minimum of 85% of each of the classes of the subjects scheduled for the four-month period.
  • Attendance is compulsory for students under the face-to-face and blended learning modalities for at least 85% of the classes.
  • In the case of virtual studies, attendance is regulated by constant interaction in all activities planned on the platform, including synchronous and asynchronous meetings, as well as the development of the student's autonomous work.

To obtain the title of Business Administration Technician, the following is required:

• • Pass all subjects in the study plan with a minimum grade of C or 71 points.
  • Maintain a cumulative academic index of not less than one (1.0) on a scale of one to three.
  • Maintain an average equal to or higher than 71 and have no subjects lower than 71.
  • Be in good standing with the institution.
  • Participate in a diploma course.

To obtain the degree of Bachelor in Business Administration with emphasis in Exports of Goods and Services is required:

• • Pass all the subjects contemplated in the study plan.
  • Maintain a cumulative academic index of not less than one (1.0), on a scale of one to three.
  • Maintain an average higher than 71 and have no subjects lower than 71. On a scale of 0 to 100.
  • Satisfactorily complete the 180-hour supervised internship.
  • Elaborate and support the professional practice report.
  • Take a 40-hour English course.
  • Be in good standing with the institution.
  • Complete and approve one of the following requirements:

  – Elaborate, support and approve a project ( degree project) in their area of knowledge.
  – Enroll and take the first four-month period of a specialization related to their career.
  – Submit and pass a general knowledge test.

The Business Administrator with Emphasis in Import of Goods and Services of the Metropolitan University of Education Science and Technology will be characterized by his social responsibility, understood as the knowledge and consideration of the impact that his decisions have on the regional, national and international environment, especially in the aspects that directly or indirectly affect the welfare of the population and the environment, paying attention to all the opportunities opened in Panama with the different international treaties and agreements.

Expertise:

• Will know the concepts related to Foreign Trade at a general level, with all its facets and explorative fields
• Will be able to participate in the stages of diagnosis, planning, design, construction, operation and evaluation of agro-industrial projects, tourism businesses, real estate businesses, actuarial businesses, among others.
• Will identify techniques and strategies that seek the greatest efficiency in the use of business processes without neglecting aspects related to safety in the framework of all its applications.

Competencies:

• Will apply knowledge and skills acquired during their training in the realization, supervision and maintenance of processing plants and in the administration of companies dedicated to the export of goods and services.
• He will perform export formalities and customs processes related to his entire field of action, and in the implementation of companies engaged in activities related to his profession.

The graduate of the Business Administration career with emphasis in Export of Goods and Services, will be:

• Develop strategies to take advantage of international market opportunities, both for private and public sector companies.
• Participate in the development and production of new trends, aimed at a better standard of living, based on a theoretical-practical training, which is committed to society.
• Will integrate and analyze the design, preparation and planning of proposals to achieve the welfare of the society to which he/she owes.
• Will be a suitable professional with vision, mission and projection capacity in the tourism and import/export sector in the public and private sectors.
• Create projects and programs of external impact in the public and private sector, leading to the formation of their own company, manager and executor of resources for social, cultural and environmental benefit, related to their field of action.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary research of social problems and in the design of projects for the coordination in the application of social services of public, private and social institutions, executing social programs for the improvement of living standards in the areas of assistance, promotion, education, health, housing.

• Research topics related to the administration of hotel, tourism, real estate and insurance companies, among others.
• Analyze the tourism activity as a whole, at the Panamanian, regional and world level.
• Develop policies, systems, methods and procedures for administration, finances, marketing, budgets, costs and staff management
• Handle the written and spoken language of Spanish, English and other languages relevant to the performance of the activity.
• Will be able to manage the reservation system and other information processes of the activity in the sector.

• The CAREER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION WITH EMPHASIS IN EXPORT OF GOODS AND SERVICES, develops areas and specialized techniques for the best performance of tourism services companies and export activities seeking that these can optimize their resources, part of these areas are:
• Indicators: From this point, the relationship between quantitative or qualitative variables that allow observing the situation and trends of change with respect to objectives and expected goals, and expected influences, among which stand out: Accuracy, Form, Frequency, Extension, Origin, Temporality, Relevance, etc.
• Statistics: It is an area that guides in obtaining information from numerical data and its use in inferences about a population from which the data is obtained.
• Corporate Training: It provides an entrepreneurial conception about the different means in the field of health. With this, we encourage our students to have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to carry out their projects.
