- In the same way, the student must keep in mind that his or her general average or cumulative index in his or her career cannot be less than 71, based on a maximum score of 100.
- Each subject, in order to be approved, must obtain a grade of no less than C and maintain an individual and cumulative academic index of no less than 1.00. (Scale of 1 to 3.0).
- The term of permanence at the University will be a minimum of thirteen quarters, unless the student does not validate subjects.
- Respect the Disciplinary Regulations of the University.
- Maintain current payments.
- Complete and pass the academic contents of all subjects with a minimum grade of C.
- Maintain a cumulative academic index of not less than one (1.0), on a scale of one to three.
- To have attended at least 90% of the face-to-face meetings in each of the subjects.
- Satisfactorily complete the supervised professional practice and submit the respective work or report.
- Fulfill eighty (80) hours of Psychological Consultation and twenty (20) hours of personalized attention.
- Take and pass the English proficiency test.
- Submit the internship report.
- To present their degree option, which can be one of the following options:
- Thesis.
- Knowledge exam
- Specialization subjects. - Payment of all fees (tuition, monthly fees, degree fees, etc.).
The graduate of the Bachelor's Degree in General Psychology of the Universidad Metropolitana de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología "UMECIT", will perform competencies focused on the following knowledge:
In Knowing How to Know:
- Will master the conceptualizations and philosophical arguments that explain psychology as a science, from the various schools and/or currents.
- Recognize the psychological development processes associated with the cognitive, affective, spiritual, motor, forensic, organizational, and personality areas.
- Recognize the traits that denote the behavioral changes during the evolution of the human being in the different stages of psychosexual, socio-affective, moral, cognitive development, among others.
- Understand the systemic approach of the family as an original source for the development of behavioral patterns with a high therapeutic sense.
- Analyze the principles and concepts that argue organizational psychology and the variants that condition human development in labor dynamics.
- Will understand the theoretical foundations that explain the psychological approach to behavior.
In Knowing How to Do:
- Address from psychotherapy the behavioral alterations that put the individual's mental health at risk.
- Perform interventions and group accompaniment in the face of the needs detected in the development of the individual's personality in the school, social and organizational context.
- Perform psychological evaluations that argue the mental alterations referred by individuals.
- Write clinical reports in response to the diagnosis of particular or specialized pathologies that merit evidencing their transcendence in terms of the subject's evolutionary development.
- Apply standardized psychological tests to determine the organization of personality, intelligence, among other dimensions of the evolutionary development of the human being.
In Knowing How to Be (living together):
- Will demonstrate respect for the ethical norms that regulate the exercise of the profession, considering the differences and particular needs of individuals with honesty and integrity.
- Reflect awareness and sensitivity to intervene in mental health issues related to the individual and his/her environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop group activities that promote teamwork and proactive collaboration for decision making that generates effective results in organizations.
- Recognize the importance of values, culture and self-knowledge with the clear expression and management of emotions, as well as the management of conflict situations and interpersonal relationships.
- Will reflect from their work practice the principles and values that underpin the academic training program in general psychology at UMECIT.
