International Course on Planning and Monitoring of Training Oriented to Fitness and Musculation

Description

The current dynamics in which man's activities take place within his social context means that the time in his daily life is not enough to carry out physical activity or physical exercise on a regular basis. Work, commuting time between home and work or work and home, inadequate nutrition, stress and technology have turned men into a sedentary, inactive and limited being, triggering overweight and obesity and with them non-communicable chronic diseases, which affects the national budget in health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
Based on the above and according to the current need to search for spaces and time to perform physical exercise, medical and physical conditioning centers, as well as the different fitness rooms, have incorporated the High Intensity Interval into their services. Training (HIIT), High Intensity Training (HIT), Crossfit and functional training as part of the solution; These four modalities represent different benefits for musculoskeletal health and the different main and vital systems of our body, within them we can find: comprehensive muscle toning, loss of body fat effectively, improve cardiovascular capacity, improve resistance, correct posture, increase cardiopulmonary capacity, increase strength, coordination, speed, increase concentration, improve insulin sensitivity and increase glucose consumption, reduce the aging process, can serve as rehabilitation and recovery exercise against sports injuries, among others. However, its main attraction is that all the aforementioned benefits can be achieved with training sessions of less than 45 minutes that do not necessarily require weights outside of the body.

However, in order to understand how these types of activities manage to obtain great health benefits in such a short time without using external elements or weight, the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Recreation of the Santo Tomás University will offer the Diploma in Trends Current Training in Fitness Rooms, aimed at college students, faculty, graduates, postgraduate students in Sports Administration, physical exercise and sports science professionals, sports trainers, physiotherapists and nutritionists from all over the country. In accordance with this, the intention of the diploma is focused on the development of competencies so that the student can program, dose and direct a training session under these two modalities of fitness in patients with different chronic non-communicable diseases, injured athletes, schoolchildren, youth, adults and seniors.
