The University
Quality Assurance
For UMECIT, the quality of education and the high standards of education are at the core of its philosophy and teaching methods.
We are a team integrated by the Quality Management, Planning and Accreditation System. Complying with the standards established by the National Council for University Evaluation and Accreditation of Panama and the Accreditation System of Central America and Panama, our team designed objectives through which it seeks to contribute to the development of an institutional management based on a culture of quality.
The transformation and self-evaluation of managerial, academic and administrative processes are constant and are supported by the planning of actions corresponding to the substantive functions of university action, which represent the institutional identity seal based on our Quality, Mission, Vision, Values, Objectives and Philosophy, under the development of the Neo Cyberhumanist Curricular Educational Model.
Quality Management
Planning Department
"The planning department is responsible for guiding the projection of the university from the preparation of the institutional development plan, based on the construction and coordination of the process of general diagnosis and SWOT analysis, the basis for the design of the PDI with its programs and projects that integrate it and are defined according to the areas or axes of strategic development for UMECIT. Likewise, this department monitors, controls, and evaluates its execution through the POA, which is essential for compliance with the substantive functions, vision, mission, and institutional objectives.
On the other hand, the planning department is part of the UTE, which is why it provides support to the accreditation and reaccreditation processes, as well as quality assurance processes”.
