Psychology Week UMECIT 2023
Psychology Week at UMECIT 2023 will be celebrated from June 19 to 24, 2023, within the framework of the Day of the Psychologist in Panama, which is commemorated on June 22 every year.
The focus of this week is to highlight the work of mental health professionals and the contribution that the discipline of psychology provides to society.
Psychology Week at UMECIT is by the students for the students and also for society and is usually organized by the senior students of the degree program.
This year the groups that joined in 2020 in both Panama and La Chorrera are leading the organization and the message that will be transmitted throughout the week.
In addition to this, we are in the process of re-accreditation of the General Psychology career, and the self-evaluation report has already been submitted. The development of these activities is a sample of the potential of our students and future psychology professionals who will demonstrate the most valuable point of our graduate profile, which is that they will reflect from their work practice the principles and values that underpin the academic training program in general psychology at UMECIT.
The week will be full of activities aimed at strengthening the profile of our students but also to update graduates and inform the general population. We invite all UMECIT students and society in general to be part of this celebration full of joy and a lot of knowledge based on social awareness.
Psychology Week at UMECIT is an exciting and valuable initiative for the psychology student community and for society in general. It is essential to highlight the work of mental health professionals and how the discipline of psychology contributes to society, especially in these times of uncertainty and constant change.
It is excellent that the students lead the organization of this week, which demonstrates their potential and preparation for their future career in psychology. It is also interesting that this week is taking place during the reaccreditation process of the General Psychology career, which demonstrates the University's commitment to academic quality and the graduate profile of its students.
The variety of activities planned for this week, with the objective of strengthening the profile of students, updating graduates and informing the general population, is a wonderful way to promote knowledge and social awareness.
