Course Description
This model course aims to meet the minimum requirements of knowledge, understanding and proficiency, training all seafarers who operate small vessels; recreational and/or commercial, and who wish to work as boat operators.

- To reach the required level of competence and gain the necessary experience. Participants will be able to operate a boat and will update their knowledge of safety regulations, which are key to ensuring that onboard tasks are carried out efficiently and safely.
- Professionals in all disciplines related to the activities of the maritime cluster.
- University professionals at the bachelor's or higher technical level, in maritime, port, and related fields.
- Students and professionals from all areas who wish to expand their knowledge, skills, and abilities in the maritime port sector.
- Valid identification (ID for Panamanians / passport for foreigners).
- Valid medical certificate (the certificate must be issued by a clinic authorized by the Panama Maritime Authority – AMP).
Module 1: General information on small boats
Hourly intensity: 0.5 hours theory/practice
Module 2: Nautical nomenclature
Hourly intensity: 0.10 hours theoretical/practical
Module 3: Protection responsibilities
Hourly intensity: 3.0 theoretical/practical hours
Module 4: Rigging and buckets
